i saw you once or twice
you gave me that stare
those hypnotizing eyes
they moved me

i asked my friends 'bout you
and it turned out that
they were your friends, too
they told me

we talked the first time
i didn't say a word
the experience.. sublime
so surreal

then i made my move
and that, so early, too
thought i was in the groove
i wasn't

you caught a hint of it
my motives, i'd hid
it backfired as it hit
my mistake

you questioned why i did
many things you asked
my tongue i almost bit
what the hell

so i told you everything
even more than that
i stuttered in saying
"i'm sorry"

a resolution we must find
between you and i
so she spoke her mind
"don't like you"

took it all upon myself
was the one to blame
being honest was no help

now we've decided to be
back where we were once
